About Us
Our vision is to see children and youth equipped and growing into mature adults with the skills and knowledge necessary to rise above their circumstances and not merely survive but rather thrive in life and faith.
Our mission is to provide educational opportunities, life skills classes, and training in the arts through the power and in the name of Jesus Christ.
Cottage has been a grassroots endeavor from the very beginning. With a small, professional, missions-minded staff, we are dependent on a multitude of volunteers and supporters to assist us in making this a quality program for thousands of children for over two decades.

Programs
Cottage Cove’s summer camp extends our summer program to an all-day format for a limited number of students. Focusing on the youngest children we serve, our amazing summer camp program fills the morning and afternoon prior to our regular program with fun, learning, and field trips.
Cottage Cove’s annual premiere gala showcases ministry highlights and the students we serve. Complete with musical entertainment, amazing food, and more.
Looking for a speaker at your church or event? Want to host a thought-provoking seminar? Cottage Cove’s Executive Director, Brent MacDonald, is available for conferences or seminars at your church or
ministry. Brent’s passion for history and God’s Word shows in the many topics he speaks on.
Are you curious about the historicity of Bible events, people, places, everyday items, and even fossils? Long-time Bible researcher and explorer Brent MacDonald has a private museum filled with artifacts from the Bible Lands, including Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Sudan, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Cyprus, Lebanon, and more.
Cottage Cove aids our local public schools by providing educational incentives, life necessities, and school supplies. These tangible items help many students beyond those in our daily programs. Reward incentives encourage students to excel in their academics and behaviors.
Volunteers
The heartbeat and lifeblood of Cottage Cove is our volunteers.
Whether for our daily after-school program, to help with a special work project, or perhaps our Christmas Store, there are hosts of opportunities available.
If you are available to give 1 to 3 hours of your time, one day a week, you can make a big difference. For example, helping children complete their homework takes place from 3:20 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. If you can listen to a child read, help supervise the playground, or assist with a class, we can use your help.
If you have special skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or can help with grounds care, we’d love to have your help (or on-call availability). Keeping our well-used facilities looking great and working well is an unending process. Many of these projects, even cleaning, can be scheduled around your availability.
