“Cottage Cove was absolutely fantastic. I never thought I could get that close with so many children within 5 days. They are such beautiful kids! If anyone has the chance to go work with intercity children for a missions trip I highly suggest it! God was with us the whole week! ...Best week ever.”

– D. Kent, 2014 DTI Teen Missionary from Indiana

Since 1995, Cottage Cove has consistently offered high quality short term missions trips in Nashville. Our best advertisement comes from those who have experienced one of these trips.

Bible teacher and researcher Brent MacDonald, together with his wife Angie, host public trips to the Bible Lands every second year. DTI Bible Lands is designed to take you on a journey through the best of the Bible Lands as a once in a lifetime experience. Unlike typical tourist and church trips, with myriads of traditional sites and tourist traps, this trip is focused on authentic locations and archaeological sites.  This unparallelled experience, from an evangelical and scholarly perspective, is filled with learning from beginning to end.  Since no two trips are alike, it's no wonder many have come more than once.  Space is always limited; we find smaller groups much more mobile.  See the links below for more details on past and potential trips.

What participants are saying

“I went on a mission trip this week to Nashville, TN with my class from school and lemme tell ya, it did not turn out as I expected (in a good way). We worked at Cottage Cove, which is an inner city ministry. With the exception of Thursday morning (we got a little breather) we were at Cottage Cove from about 9:30 am - 6:30 pm. From 9:30 -12 we had the privilege to listen to a seminar about the Bible and how it got to be. For those who know me, I'm not one that sits down for 2 1/2 hours and listen well, but this was different, I was so interested in what was being taught. 2 1/2 hours felt like 20 minutes. Not only did we get to learn more about Christianity but we got to be more educated about other religions. The rest of the day we got to work with the kids at Cottage Cove and the wonderful staff! The kids were so funny and filled with joy and LOTS of energy. LOTS. I was reminded this week that this work was not for me but for the Lord. He supplied me with enough energy and strength to get through the week.”
